The US/CDN exchange rate governs the cost to individuals paying in US Dollars. The cost in Canadian Dollars remains constant with the cost in US dollars fluctuating with the exchange rate. Participants are advised to know what the exchange rate is in respect to "balances owing" to keep cost increases due to changes in the US/CDN exchange rate to a minimum.
Participants may pay in US or CDN funds but must pay the balance in the same funds as the deposit. Please note that the rate quoted in the papers etc., is not the rate given for deposits--there is usually a 3% to 4% difference and always lower.

Canusa Cycle Adventure Tours reserves the right to change conditions and prices at any time. While we have not had to change our base price (in Cdn Dollars) since we have been in business (21 years) the volatility of the US/Cdn exchange rate, fuel and accommodation costs may require a change in the future.

The most spectacular journey in the world! To travel the Bow valley and Icefields Parkways is to experience one of Canada's national treasures and our most rewarding bicycle route. Stretching approximately 279k/173m between Banff and Jasper the Parkways offer easy access to one of the most spectacular mountain landscapes on earth and viewing these sights from the seat of a bicycle adds to the pleasure. This is a world class journey through the heart of the Canadian Rockies, a vast wilderness of magnificent peaks, ancient glaciers, pristine mountain lakes and rushing rivers. The two Parkways offer a paved road with wide paved shoulders, paralleling the Continental Divide and splitting the Canadian Provinces of Alberta and British Columbia between Banff, Lake Louise, the Columbia Icefields and Jasper.

Our 6 day Icefields Highway tour is designed for the beginner cyclist with a daily mileage of 50k/30m for 4 days, one day of 80k/50m and a day off in Lake Louise for sightseeing. This schedule leaves lots of time to enjoy the beauty along the way, and most participants leave with the impression that the cycling, while all in the mountains, was a lot easier than anticipated.

With “global warming” of interest to all, the Icefields Highway is one place where it is particularly noticeable. It is difficult to see the changes that have occurred since the late 1800’s and are still occurring unless you are a frequent visitor to the area but at the Columbia Icefields, cement markers show where the toe of the Saskatchewan Glacier was at different points from the late 1800’s to the present and the glacial retreat is both amazing and somewhat alarming. The tour includes the opportunity to drive/walk to the toe of the Saskatchewan Glacier and see the retreat first hand.

The tour starts and ends in Calgary. Meet Sunday, 7:30 am, day of tour start at the Executive Royal Inn Airport, Calgary, ready to bike and finish in Calgary at the Executive Royal Inn Airport late Friday pm. Arrangements for return flights should be made for Saturday or later. Cycling starts near Banff and ends in Jasper. A treasure trove of adventure, The Golden Triangle offers a diverse discovery of Western Canada, a serpentine cycle along the border of the provinces of B.C. and Alberta.   Beginning near Banff, this easy to moderate six-day trip will have you rising to the challenge of mountain passes while allowing for plenty of cool downhill coasting.  Averaging between 60 km/37 miles and 110 km/69 miles per day, your experience is ever changing as you explore three World Heritage National Parks, many historical points of interest and hundreds of miles of wildlife habitat.  The real change in perspective however, is brought to you via a variety of other exciting activities: a serene soak in Radium Hot Springs, a wild whitewater raft trip on the Kicking Horse River, a kick-back kayak cruise on the Columbia River and for real high excitement – a glider flight over the Rockies!  Appealing to true adventurers, this 296 km/184 mile ride is still suitable for beginners, the perfect way to unleash the explorer in you.

The tour starts and ends in Calgary. Meet Sunday, 0730 am, day of tour start at the Executive Royal Inn Airport, Calgary, ready to bike and finish in Calgary at the Executive Royal Inn Airport late Friday pm. The most scenic 50 miles of spectacular mountain scenery in North America?? My choice would be The-Going-To-The-Sun Road in Glacier National Park, Montana. Combine this with some "Montana Big Sky Country", Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada (the other half of the first "International Peace Park" in the world and with Glacier National Park, a World Heritage Site), The Eagle River valley along the Crowsnest Highway and Pass and you have a tour that should be on your "to do" list of tours. Many cyclists complete this narrow, twisting road every year but it is not for the faint of heart. For nearly 20 miles, the Going-To-The-Sun Road has been chipped out of the side of a near vertical cliff with only a two foot barrier between you and your maker!!. Vistas of waterfalls, glaciers, high mountain peaks, lakes, crystal clear rivers and wildlife stay with you for the entire 50 miles.

The tour starts and ends in Calgary. Meet Sunday, 7:30 am, day of tour start at the Executive Royal Inn, Calgary, ready to bike and finish in Calgary at the Executive Royal Inn Airport late Friday pm. Arrangements for return flights should be made for Saturday or later. Cycling starts near Pincher Creek and ends near Lundbreck Falls.
